Learn how to view free space and free up storage on the Samsung Galaxy J7.
- Jul 12, 2017 When your phone’s internal storage starts to get full, it can be frustrating. Things slow down, apps won’t install, and in some cases, you can’t even download anything. Fortunately, Samsung has a built-in way to help users see detailed information about what is taking up space, and also provides a simple way of deleting unwanted items.
- On your Android phone or tablet, swipe down from the top of the screen once or twice, then tap the Gear icon to open the “Settings” menu. Next, select “Storage” in the “Settings” menu. On a Samsung Galaxy phone, you will need to tap “Device Care” first to get to the “Storage” option.

Delete such files occasionally to free up more space. Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge feature a Smart Manager, which allows you to manage your device's storage and easily delete unnecessary data with a tap of a button through Clean Master. You can even download the Clean Master app on other phones to manage storage.
